Podcasting and Vlogging.

I was intorduced today to Podcasting and Vlogging. Pretty neat stuff. I think I may dabble in these in the near future. I'm getting ready to move to a new loft space with my wife so it'll have to wait till then.

2005. Is. Here.

It's been raining for the past week. The roof on our loft is like a spaghetti strainer in some spots. It doesn't rain here 90% of the time and when it does it's usually not very much. Maybe over night or one day at most. This time it's a week straight. Not just the normal SoCal sprinkle, but torrents of road destroying, mud-sliding, freeway-halting rain. And it's leaking into our house. Right over the computers. Right over our books. Right over my recording studio. And not just through the roof. No; that would be too simple. Through the walls even.

See, we live in a 98 year old brick warehouse building. Built, not of your normal bricks, but of these 1 foot square hollow-in-the-middle-bricks. Water gets inside them -- from the roof I can only assume -- (note:We are on the top floor of a 5-story) and the water seeps through the spaces between the old wood beams and the brick. Running like Victoria Falls on top of my studio gear. Plus this usually only happens at 4 A.M.

Did I mention the termites. Yea. Termites. In just about every plank in the old wood ceiling. Pest control has been out here countless times, but the little buggers just seem to set up shop in another area. this time they're to the right of my desk. I have to put sheets of paper under the area because they drop kickout/sawdust down all day long.

But all this is about to end.

In 18 days we move into a newly renovated warehouse building a few blocks from where we are now.

No leaks No termites. A fresh start.

we'll talk then. I have to pack.
